Crypto payment provider Circle has agreed to acquire Singapore-based Tazapay to expand USDC stablecoin usage in international business-to-business commerce.

Circle Internet Group has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Tazapay, a Singapore-based business-to-business cross-border payments platform, in a move designed to accelerate USDC stablecoin adoption across global commerce.

Tazapay operates in over 100 markets, works with 60-plus fintech partners, and manages more than $25 billion in annualized payment volume. The acquisition strengthens Circle's infrastructure for global payments and positions USDC for wider institutional adoption.

For e-commerce sellers, importers, and exporters engaged in cross-border trade, this development opens new options for international payments. Stablecoin-based settlement typically offers lower transaction costs and faster finality compared to traditional bank wires. The expansion may particularly benefit businesses in regions where traditional financial access is limited, such as parts of Asia, Africa, and Latin America.

Circle is making a strategic push toward stablecoin-based payments becoming standard in corporate trade. Tazapay's existing fintech partnerships and market reach will accelerate USDC penetration in the B2B segment. Over time, sellers and enterprises using the platform may gain opportunities to reduce settlement costs and improve cash flow efficiency through stablecoin payments.
