Amazon.com has joined YouTube's Shopping Affiliate Program, enabling eligible U.S. creators to tag Amazon products directly in Shorts, videos, and livestreams for instant purchasing.

YouTube officially integrated Amazon.com into its Shopping Affiliate Program, allowing eligible U.S. creators to tag Amazon products directly within their Shorts, long-form videos, and live broadcasts. Viewers can now discover and purchase recommended products seamlessly from their favorite creators' content.

The move reflects the deepening integration trend among major social platforms. Similar to TikTok's Shopify partnership and Instagram's native commerce features, YouTube is strengthening its direct-to-consumer selling infrastructure. Amazon gains access to video audiences at scale, while YouTube creators unlock commission-based revenue streams tied to product recommendations.

For e-commerce sellers, this development carries dual implications. Amazon sellers now have expanded visibility through creator networks at no incremental cost, but independent D2C brands face pressure to develop comparable social commerce strategies. Currently U.S.-only, the program is likely to expand to other markets, reinforcing platform-driven sales as a critical channel across regions.
